De MG B: een populaire Engelse sportauto zoals hij hoort te zijn: lichtgewicht, wendbaar en een genot om mee te rijden. Deze roadster valt op door zijn onderscheidende kleurencombinatie: two-tone lakwerk in donkerblauw over zilver, beige lederen interieur en een donkerblauwe kap. Hij is geproduceerd in 1975 en nieuw geleverd in de Verenigde Staten. Dankzij het zonnige klimaat is de auto goed geconserveerd gebleven. In 2024 is de auto geïmporteerd naar Nederland, waar hij is gerestaureerd door een liefhebber. De motorruimte is een kunstwerk om te zien. Ook het interieur is in uitstekende staat teruggebracht en ademt een Engelse sfeer met het klassieke dashboard, prachtige tellers en fraaie houten/aluminium stuurwiel. Het interieur is voorzien van verwarming en een toegevoegde overdrive die zorgt voor een prettige ''5e versnelling''. Verder is het interieur onder meer voorzien van een 12V aansluiting, klokje en radio/cd-speler. Ook de kofferruimte is zeer netjes en biedt plaats aan het reservewiel. De originele RO-style wielen zijn voorzien van goede Vredestein banden. De auto rijdt en schakelt uitstekend. Bij de auto zijn het instructieboekje en bagagerek aanwezig. Kortom: een mooi exemplaar van een iconische auto in een onderscheidende en opvallende uitvoering.

De MG B volgde in 1963 de MG A op, een auto die voor MG - onderdeel van The British Motor Company (BMC) - al tamelijk populair was met ruim 100.000 exemplaren. De MG B zou tot 1980 geproduceerd worden en hiervan zijn uiteindelijk nog meer geproduceerd dan van de A: ruim een half miljoen exemplaren. Naast de roadster zijn ook andere varianten geproduceerd zoals de MG B GT driedeurs 2+2 coupé (1965-1980), de zescilinder MG C (1967-1969), en de achtcilinder MG B GT V8. De MG B was met zijn 1.8-liter motor en 95 pk een stuk krachtiger dan de 1.6-liter MG A. Naast prestaties en rijeigenschappen moest de MG B hoog scoren op het gebied van veiligheid en betaalbaarheid. Door deze combinatie werd de auto een groot succes. De carrosserie is zelfdragend en het lage zwaartepunt en gebruik van aluminium carrosseriedelen zorgt voor een laag gewicht van 970 KG en een hoge mate van wendbaarheid. Het onafhankelijke veersysteem komt het comfort dan weer ten goede. Kortom: een groot succes in het hoogtepunt van de Britse auto-industrie. This roadster stands out for its distinctive colour combination: two-tone paintwork in dark blue over silver, beige leather interior and a dark blue hood. It was produced in 1975 and delivered new in the United States. Thanks to the sunny climate, the car has been well preserved. In 2024, the car was imported to the Netherlands, where it was restored by an enthusiast. The engine compartment is a work of art to behold. The interior has also been restored in excellent condition and exudes an English atmosphere with the classic dashboard, beautiful counters and beautiful wooden/aluminium steering wheel. The interior has heating and an added overdrive that provides a pleasant ‘’5th gear‘’. Other interior features include a 12V socket, clock and radio/CD player. The boot is also very neat and accommodates the spare wheel. The original RO-style wheels are fitted with good Vredestein tyres. The car drives and shifts excellently. The car comes with the instruction booklet and luggage rack. In short: a fine example of an iconic car in a distinctive and eye-catching design.


General information about the MG B
The MG B succeeded the MG A in 1963, a car that was already quite popular for MG - part of The British Motor Company (BMC) - with over 100,000 units.
